Review of the World Premiere of Martin McDonagh’s “A Very Very Very Dark Matter” at The Bridge Theatre (FOLOW THE LINK). As one might expect, this is a very (very very) unconventional play about Hans Christian Anderson, and his very (very very) dark secret. We thought it wonderful.

Review of Martin McDonagh’s The Lieutenant of Inishmore added (FOLLOW LINK TO REVIEW). This stars Aidan Turner (aka Ross Poldark) as Padraig, the terrorist too mad for the IRA. McDonagh’s black comedy is a wonder to watch. A full five star production directed by Michael Grandage.

Review of Martin McDonagh’s Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri is linked.  It’s hoovering up awards, and rightly so. A magically Irish tale, even when transferred to rural America. Frances McDormand, as Mildred Hayes, can only be the best actress of the last year.
