I’ve reviewed Van Morrison more than a dozen times and lost some of them into the ether.
A few are archived here. They were never meant to be read one after the other so are repetitive!

Hi Peter & Karen
I think the last time we met was at the Van Morrison Concert at The Gaumont Southampton. He weren’t ‘appy! 1982? Whatever. I’m now sort of retired after 30 years in education, 5 years in the Ambulance Service and about 6 as a Background Artiste. Presently presenting Talking Newspapers for local visually impaired. Keep meaning to meet up with Graham Roads but never seem to. Travel a lot. Have a page on FACEBOOK with pics. Hope you’re both well? Love, Roy

1982 was my first Van Morrison concert and I remember meeting you well. It was the “seated concert” when Van limped on, announced that he intended to sit down for the entire show and did. I’d stopped buying Van Morrison after St. Domininic’s Preview and he’d fallen off my personal radar. Then when CD was launched in 1982 I was an early adopter, and among the first sixteen Polygram releases was “Beautiful Vision.” There wasn’t much else by anyone I liked, so I bought it, and Steve Miller’s Greatest Hits. Beautiful Vision remains just about my favourite Van album to this day. In spite of the seated position it was a great show and my memory says he did Madame George and Mechanical Bliss … I’m sure Wavelength archives will have it listed and I’ll be doubly wrong.
