The comments about Norrie Paramor (no u) reminded me of his taking down by David Frost on TW3. Wikipedia:
In 1962, Paramor was the subject of “A Tribute to Norrie Paramor” by David Frost on the satirical British television programme That Was the Week That Was for, the sketch claimed, taking undeserved songwriting credits and royalties, “writing ordinary tunes with ordinary words” and “[making] everything ordinary.”[7] There’s a link to a video, but it doesn’t work. I didn’t know that Congratulations should have won the 1968 Eurovision. It’s become a substitute for Happy Birthday to You in Korea. The song that came in third behind Massiel and Cliff, La Source, sung by Isabelle Aubret, may be one the most un-Eurovision songs performed in the competition.
