Review added of ROMEO & JULIET in the Kenneth Branagh Season, (LINKED)directed by Kenneth Branagh. With Richard Madden as Romeo, Lily James as Juliet, Meera Syal as The Nurse and (incredibly) Derek Jacobi as Mercutio. A production that defines a 5 star play for us, though the critics differ. I was at the matinee yesterday Peter and totally agree with your review. Jacobi and Syal stole the show for me but all the cast were wonderful my only criticism would be Lady Capulet who I found very wooden. Have a feeling the critics will hate it though so we’ll see what the papers say on Thursday!
