Review of The Winter’s Tale at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse added. It was fascinating how removing extraneous concepts and reverting to a dark, candlelit Jacobean theatre made fresh sense of the play.

Fed up with surveys? Take a look at the new article on SURVEYS (linked).

Review added of Carol,(LINKED) with Cate Blanchett & Rooney Mara. Evocative romance set in early 50s, but with more smoking than “Mad Men” you wouldn’t fancy having to do much kissing. Not that they do. They mainly smoulder. As do innumerable cigarettes.

Joy – review

Review of Joy (linked), directed by David O. Ruseell, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Robert de Niro and Bradley Cooper.
