Review of The Winter’s Tale at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse added. It was fascinating how removing extraneous concepts and reverting to a dark, candlelit Jacobean theatre made fresh sense of the play.

Review of Joy (linked), directed by David O. Ruseell, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Robert de Niro and Bradley Cooper. Very much a successor to Silver Linings and American Hustle resting on a great lead performance by Jennifer Lawrence. Bit can a story about a better mop being sold on a shopping channel truly wipe the floor?
