As Helen Edmondson’s Queen Anne is currently running in the West End, I’m linking to my 2015 review of the original RSC production of Queen Anne at Stratford. Only a third of the cast of eighteen have moved on to the West End, but most importantly, Emma Cunliffe is still Queen Anne. The marvellous Jonathan Broadbent as Robert Harley has been replaced by the also marvellous James Garnam. I haven’t seen the 2017 version. The 2015 version had better reviews, but then the RSC Theatre has a far better stage than the West End.
