Review added of Carol,(LINKED) with Cate Blanchett & Rooney Mara. Evocative romance set in early 50s, but with more smoking than “Mad Men” you wouldn’t fancy having to do much kissing. Not that they do. They mainly smoulder. As do innumerable cigarettes.

Thanks for the link. I’ve definitely seen those on stage because I’ve been very close and they’ve been odourless. They look very real on the film and untipped, but they may be getting better.
